Become a DeKalb SWCD Supervisor
|
| District Supervisor
The primary role of a District Supervisor is
to evaluate soil and water conservation needs and opportunities in your community, set
priorities, and guide the development of programs to meet those needs within the District.
|
| To become an Elected Supervisor you must:
|
|
Occupy a tract of land 10 acres
or more within the
County
|
|
|
Maintain permanent residence within the
County
|
|
|
Be qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of
Supervisor
|
|
|
| To become an Appointed Supervisor you must:
|
|
Be of voting age
|
|
|
Maintain permanent residence within the
County
|
|
|
Be qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of
a
Supervisor
|
|
District Supervisors are elected or appointed at the DeKalb SWCD Annual
Meeting, held during the month of March, and serve three-year terms.
|
|
| Associate Supervisor
Do you have skills or time to offer? As an Associate
Supervisor you may chose to attend monthly Board Meetings to offer your expertise on local
conservation issues, or you may choose to become involved in District Programs such as
assisting at field days, conducting educational programs, building bird houses,
maintaining nature trails, or helping with other tasks and activities.

You may
become an Associate Supervisor at any time.
|
| District Sponsor
Would you prefer to make a financial contribution to the
District? You may make a contribution to support the current needs of the District,
or specify that your contribution be used for a particular program or project.
|
You may
become a District Sponsor at any time.
